For years, there was a scent woven into a familiar part of downtown Victoria. If you spent time at Moe's Home, you may remember it before you ever knew what it was called.
When Moe's moved to 1630 Store Street, that fragrance came with it — and became part of the experience many Victorians remember.
1630 is that scent.

As Rebellion grew into what it is today, 1630 became part of that atmosphere.
We started diffusing it in the shops. People noticed. People asked what it was. And eventually, we got access to the fragrance ourselves.
So now we're bringing it back to Victoria. Not just as something we sell — as something you can actually experience when you walk through our doors.

Yes. 1630 is the signature scent many Victoria locals remember from Moe’s.
For years, the fragrance was part of the experience of walking into Moe’s — a distinctive blend of white tea, thyme and amber that became almost inseparable from the space itself. When Moe’s later moved to 1630 Store Street, the familiar scent came with it, eventually inspiring the name 1630.
When Moe’s closed, the fragrance disappeared with it for a lot of locals. People remembered the smell, but didn’t necessarily know what it was called or where to find it.
Now, 1630 is back in Victoria at Rebellion Barbershop.
